Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Free trial
MintCarb offers a 30-day free trial on all paid plans. No credit card is required to start a free trial. You can use all features included in your chosen plan at no cost during the trial period. Your trial automatically ends after 30 days — no automatic conversion to a paid subscription without your explicit consent.
2. Subscription billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance — monthly subscriptions at the start of each billing month; annual subscriptions at the start of the 12-month period. Billing continues automatically until you cancel.
You will receive an invoice by email for every billing event. If your payment method fails, we will retry once after three days and notify you by email. If the second attempt fails, your account will be downgraded to a read-only state — you will not lose access to your data.
3. Cancellation
You can cancel your MintCarb subscription at any time from your account settings (Settings → Billing → Cancel subscription). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain full access until then.
After cancellation, your account enters a 90-day data retention window. All your emission records, reports, and compliance data remain accessible in read-only mode during this period. After 90 days, the data is permanently deleted from our systems unless you request otherwise for regulatory retention reasons (see Section 6 below).
4. Refunds
Monthly subscriptions: No pro-rata refunds are provided for unused days in the current billing month. If you cancel on day 10 of a 30-day billing cycle, you retain access for the remaining 20 days with no additional charge, but the 10 days already used are not refunded.
Annual subscriptions: If you cancel an annual subscription within 14 days of the billing date and have not submitted any compliance reports or generated any regulatory documents during that time, you are eligible for a pro-rata refund for unused complete months. Contact billing@mintcarb.com to request this within 14 days of billing.
Exceptions: Full refunds are issued if MintCarb experiences a platform outage of more than 24 hours in any calendar month, or if we are unable to provide a feature that was material to your purchase decision and disclosed in our sales process. Contact our support team to discuss.
Enterprise plans: Refund terms for Enterprise subscriptions are governed by your individual subscription agreement.
5. Price changes
MintCarb may update subscription pricing. You will receive at least 30 days' written notice by email before any price change takes effect on your account. You may cancel before the new price takes effect if you do not agree to it.
6. Regulatory data retention
India's Companies Act and GST Act require businesses to retain financial and operational records for a minimum of 7 years. CCTS compliance records and BRSR filings generated on MintCarb may constitute such records. If you cancel your subscription but need your compliance data retained beyond the standard 90-day window for regulatory compliance purposes, contact us at compliance@mintcarb.com before your data deletion date. We will arrange appropriate long-term storage.
